Reflected on what we learned

The Advocate documented the outcomes from the innovation workshop, shared feedback with participants and reflected on the answers to questions posed.

Having identified short-term and long-term changes needed to improve access to GPs in Latrobe, the Advocate sought to develop a plan that would translate what we had learned into action.

Greater collaboration and collective action between the Commonwealth and State Governments and local service/agencies is necessary to achieve system wide reform. Business models, integration of services, recruitment, training and accreditation pathways along with promoting the liveability of the region must be addressed.

A system designed for the future is oriented towards prevention and enables ongoing community voice/input.
